~Original paintings shown in my book~
All of the paintings displayed on the following pages were demonstrations for FairyArt: Painting Magical Fairies & Their Worlds. This is your opportunity to enhance your collection of artwork with an Adams original painting. These paintings are sold unframed.
I think it's important for you to see the types of surfaces I painted my pictures on before you view them and make your purchase. The following images shows the types of supports I used for the paintings in my book. As you can see, the supports range from paper thin to thick and cradled. I prime all of my supports with gesso to prepare them for painting.

This is smooth illustration board. I'll often use illustration boards as a support. It's easy to cut (using a box knife) and doesn't warp. I prime these boards with gesso before proceeding with the painting. |
This is the art board I use. It's very thin and doesn't warp. It's the ultimate art board, produced by Multimedia Artboard. This support can handle any medium.
|

This is the hard board I use. It's 1/8" thick and basically the same as masonite. |

This is a cradled masonite panel. I use cradled masonite for larger paintings.
